From Goodreads:

Becca Chandler is suddenly getting all the guys all the ones she doesn't want. Ever since her ex-boyfriend spread those lies about her. Then she saves Chris Merrick from a beating in the school parking lot. Chris is different. Way different: he can control water just like his brothers can control fire, wind, and earth. They're powerful. Dangerous. Marked for death.

And now that she knows the truth, so is Becca.

Secrets are hard to keep when your life's at stake. When Hunter, the mysterious new kid around school, turns up with a talent for being in the wrong place at the right time, Becca thinks she can trust him. But then Hunter goes head-to-head with Chris, and Becca wonders who's hiding the most dangerous truth of all.

The storm is coming

My Thoughts:

This book had me hooked from the first chapter.  Once I picked it up, I didn’t put it down until I was finished.  Storm starts off on a dark night with Becca literally swooping in to save Chris Merrick’s life.  Everything pretty much goes downhill from there, when she realizes Chris and his brothers aren’t normal.  The Merrick brothers are targeted due to their levels of power and now that Becca is involved with them, she isn’t safe anymore either.

I love the characters in this book.  Becca is this strong, bad-ass girl but with all of the rumors going around about her she is also vulnerable.  And the Merrick brothers *sigh*.  There’s Michael, the oldest, who controls Earth; the twins, Nick who controls Air and Gabriel, the hot tempered twin who controls fire; and finally we have Chris, the youngest who controls water.   I don’t think Ms. Kemmerer could have done a better job writing the brothers.  I loved that they have this brotherly bond, and even though they fight they still look out and care for one another.

This book is action packed, with plot twists that you won’t see coming.  Brigid Kemmerer is definitely an author to look out for.  Spark is definitely on my wishlist.
